Welcome to the Swedish Aviation History Society

The Swedish Aviation History Society, SFF, is a non-profit organization founded in 1961 and is Sweden's largest aviation historical organization with approximately 4,800 members nationwide – ranging from general aviation enthusiasts to genuine aviation historians.

SFF supports research, as well as the preservation and documentation of Swedish aviation history, providing significant financial contributions to various projects annually.

Our society caters for Swedish aviation enthusiasts and therefore this site is only available in Swedish (with this as an exception). This is also true for our publications and for our archive. Should you still want to become a member then you are more than welcome!

As a member you will receive the following benefits:

  • Five times a year we issue, Svensk Flyghistorisk Tidskrift (Aviation Historical Journal). It covers everything from the first flight to the very latest developments, both civilian and military.
  • When we release Flyghistorisk Revy, it is also included in the membership fee.
  • Participate in the events organized by SFF's 13 regions, spanning from Skåne to Norrbotten. There, you can listen to interesting lectures and socialize with other aviation enthusiasts.
  • Access the association's unique digitized media archive, including over 260,000 photos, an extensive audio archive, and a film archive that is under construction.
  • Gain access to our book archive with more than 5,000 titles and unique documents
  • Members can also purchase aviation literature and other products at preferential prices and receive membership discounts at aviation museums, hotels, and more.
